Surface pattern and product design for Handmade By Me.

This design was created out of a need for a fabric design which would compliment Handmade By me's popular Delft placemats and trays. The design was inspired by shards of broken crockery, and the art of Kintsugi which is the ancient practice of repairing cracked or broken ceramics with gold or silver, except we created a pattern using the shards rather than gold or silver.

This design was created as part of Handmade By Me’s Biotica range launched in 2017.

Products included:
Fabric, wallpaper, cushion covers, tea towels, napkins, table runners and greeting cards.
